GROUP NORMS
1. Active participation is part of the healing process. Sharing your hurt and experiences will enable you to begin the healing process.
2. No attacking or demeaning another person’s character.
3. Respect others when they are sharing. Do not interrupt. If you are not recognized by the facilitator, raise your hand.
4. When you are spoken to do not respond defensively or be confrontational to the person speaking to you.
5. Be attentive to the person sharing. Make eye contact. The person sharing needs to know you are interested.
6. Do not talk at, preach to or teach one another. Keep the focus on yourself and how you feel, and what your learnings have been.
7. Strict confidentiality is a must for everything discussed in group. What you see here, what you hear here, remains here.
